Casting Young Local Modelling Talent for 3D-Photoshoot in Wellington - earn $120

Your child could be the next 3D-avatar! We are looking for young local Wellington amateur models (girls/boys, all ethnicities), aged 8-14 years, to be photographed and turned into animatable digital 3D-avatars for VR and architectural 3D-visualisation productions. The 3D-shoots will take place in September 2023 in Wellington City. We are paying $120 per shoot, and the shoot sessions will only take 20 minutes each. Talent will have to apply by sending up-to-date, full-length photos, wearing their own outfit. We need at least four photos of the talent, wearing two alternative summer outfits and two winter outfits (avoid plain black colours for clothes and shoes, vibrant, colours and textures are preferred). FYI, this is not a fashion shoot, so just pick your favourite items from the closet :) Make sure the photos are well-lit and have decent image resolution. Talent is not expected to send professional photos, but good enough photos for the selection process. This is a great opportunity for your child to be involved in a cutting-edge project that will be used by other 3D artists, virtual reality creators, architects, and video game companies. The models will also get to learn about the process of creating 3D avatars, which is a valuable skill in today's digital world. 3Dfy.me creates 3D-printed figurines for Cirkus Production's magic movie 'Small Moments"

  3Dfy.me were approached by the award winning international animation house Cirkus Production Ltd in Auckland to support them with the creation and 3D-print production of a set of life-like miniature figurines. A large Philippine retail operator had selected Cirkus to create "timeless, magical moments" that will be experienced when visiting their shopping malls. Being a bunch of incredibly talented artists Cirkus decided to take an unusual, fresh approach to creating a dream-like miniature world. The whole set was built by hand and only a few CGI extensions and floating physical elements were added for the camera fly-through. As a key requirement for the magical illusion the human "actors" placed around the flight path  needed to be physically created in the desired poses and clothes, as life-like as possible. To achieve this human talent, dressed in suitable clothes were 3D-scanned in multiple poses (using our advanced photogrammetry technology), digitally reconstructed, and adjusted where needed (e.g. facial features and clothes). Next 3Dfy.me was tasked with ensuring the best suitable production process and 3D-print file preparation to achieve great geometrical detail and vivid, crisp colour outputs. Given 3D-printing in full-colour is quite a niche technology and only very few printer manufactures in the market, this was not an easy feat to be accomplished. Luckily 3Dfy.me managed to secure the support from the School of Design Innovation at the Victoria University Wellington. We were very privileged to use their full-colour photo-polymer print production facility to create the stunningly colourful figurines you can see in the final movie.
